Expert swimming lessons in the comfort of your own home

Hi, I'm Coach Kelci...

What began as a childhood passion for competitive swimming has evolved into the most fulfilling career - coaching. For over 13 years, I’ve been teaching both children and adults to swim, working in a wide range of swim school environments, including running my own swim school in Spain for five years.

Throughout my career, one thing has become clear: the most progress and confidence-building happens in private, personalised lessons. After years of teaching in group settings with over 100 clients per week, I’ve taken a step back from that - and a huge step forward in focusing on specialist, one-on-one swim coaching that delivers real results.

Over the years, I’ve trialled and tested many different methods of teaching swimming, always learning, adapting, and growing. Through this journey, I’ve found my own flow in the water, shaped by experience, intuition, and (I like to think) a bit of secret mermaid power too! My approach is deeply personal: I lead with connection, trust, and instinct. I tune into each swimmer, meet them where they are, and help them feel truly at home in the water. That’s when the magic happens, it’s what transforms the impossible into something completely achievable.

What do I offer?

Water acclimation for babies, toddlers and children

Suitable for children with minimal water exposure that lack confidence or have a fear of water.

Survival swimming for babies, toddlers and children

Suitable for children who are happy in the water, with some basic experience of being in the pool.

Stroke development for children and adults

Suitable for children and adults with strong water safety skills that are ready to learn or improve their swimming techniques across all 4 strokes and other elements of competitive swimming.

Aquaphobia courses for adults

A unique and specialised course for adults who have a fear of water or do not feel comfortable in or around water. It's NEVER too late to learn!

Choosing the right coach is key to lasting progress. Private, one-on-one instruction ensures each swimmer receives focused attention, builds strong technique from the start, and learns with purpose. It's an investment in quality, efficiency, and confidence - for results that go far beyond the pool.

Quality over quantity

Each session is carefully tailored to the swimmer’s age, goals, ability, and how they’re feeling that day. Time spent doesn’t always equate to minutes in the pool. My approach prioritises building trust and connection, which are essential for lasting progress.

For younger or nervous swimmers, especially those under five, incorporating 10–15 minutes of play before entering the water or as a rewarding transition afterward can be invaluable. Parents of younger children may opt for extended lessons to include this additional time alongside pool time. However, if these trust-building steps are needed during a shorter lesson, this time will be taken from the pool session.

Because results cannot be achieved without trust, this foundational connection is just as important and as effective as time spent swimming.

Longer lessons also benefit children and adults who require more pool time for skill development, allowing for focused practice without feeling rushed.

Rather than pushing for longer sessions when a swimmer is tired or losing focus, I end the lesson at a point where they can retain and reinforce proper technique. Forcing practice when focus has faded often leads to poor form, which can become ingrained through muscle memory - something that takes even longer to unlearn. By prioritising quality, connection, and individual needs, each lesson maximizes productive time and fosters confidence that extends well beyond the pool.
